Reconstruction of East A Street will begin Tuesday, June 1, 2010.  The contractor plans to begin at the 400 Block and progress east toward Park Ave.  Each block should take approximately 8 days to complete.  If any questions or concerns arise please call 774-0722.

Reconstruction continues on the 400 Block of East A Street and the estimated completion date is June 18th.  Excavation of the 500 block began on June 8th.

Sewer main was replaced in the 600 block.  In the coming days, the contractors will go back to the 400 block and begin putting in water laterals.  The water laterals service the individual houses from the water main.  They will work their way east on A Street.  Interruption in water service may be experienced when new laterals are connected.

The contractors have moved into the 700 Block.  They will begin replacing all utilities in this block.  It is projected that the 400 block of East A Street will receive the base course of pavement.  This will aid in preventing further washouts during rain storms.

Residents of the 700 block are being placed on temporary water service.  The water main will be taken out of service will the contractor replaces the main.  Temporary water lines are necessary to provide water service to those on the 700 block.  Additionally, it is project that the 500 and 600 blocks of East A St. will receive the first layer of asphalt.  Asphalt for a road is generally applies in two layers of 1.5" each.  Please direct any questions to 774-0722.
