New Park and Recreation Survey
The City of Iron Mountain is in the process of evaluating park and recreation opportunities as a part of updating the 5 year Park and Recreation Plan. A survey was developed to better understand the park and recreation needs of residents. The results of the survey will be used to shape the City of Iron Mountain's 5 year Park and Recreation Plan. Citizens are encouraged to give their input by clicking on the following link to complete the survey. The survey is brief with 7 questions and will take under 5 minutes to complete.

Please note -- New for 2015 Tax Season
Postmarks and dropbox payments will NO LONGER be accepted for tax payments after close of business on the last day of February. All summer and winter tax payments for 2015 must be received IN OFFICE by 4:00pm February 29th. ANY mail or drop box payments received after 4:00pm last day of February (regardless of postmark) will be returned to sender. As of start of business on March 1st taxes are considered "in settlement" with the county and the City will no longer be able to accept or process them. Because of one-day processing time online payments will only be available until February 28th.

Need to report a Street Light out? Street Lights in the City of Iron Mountain are maintained by We Energies. Below is a link to report a street light out online. Zoom in to our city and click on the yellow dot representing the street light to report it directly.

Just a reminder that while garage/yard sales do not require a permit they are still regulated by City Ordinance. Garage sales, rummage sales, yard sales and similar activities may be conducted for no longer than three days and no more than two times per calendar year on the same property. (Ord. Sec. 74-4. (9))
Tree Planting Program
The deadline to order trees for the 2016 planting season is November 30, 2015. See form below for available varieties and details.
After the deadline date interested citizens can sign up to the Tree program email list to receive next years order flyer as soon as it is available. The list is for notification only, you will not be committed to purchase a tree by signing up to the list. Link to email list. View 2016 Form
