Hydrant Flushing
The City will be conducting hydrant flushing daily from 7:30am-3:00pm during the week of April 24-28. Minor changes in color and or pressure may occur.  Water safety is not affected by flushing.  Discoloration and sediment can be cleared by allowing the water to run for a few minutes at the tap.

The annual spring thaw requires a temporary change for garbage pickup.  The temporary change is necessary to prevent further damage to residential alleys.  The City of Iron Mountain will begin street-side garbage pickup on Monday, March 6, 2017 and concluded on Friday, May 5, 2017.  Please note that alley pickup will resume on Monday, May 8, 2017.  Please contact (906) 774-0722 if you have any questions.

Garage/Rummage/Yard Sales
Just a reminder that while garage/yard sales do not require a permit they are still regulated by City Ordinance.  Garage sales, rummage sales, yard sales and similar activities may be conducted for no longer than three days and no more than two times per calendar year on the same property. (Ord. Sec. 74-4. (9))

Tree Planting Program
The deadline to order trees for the 2017 planting season is December 10, 2016.  
After the deadline date interested citizens can sign up to the Tree program email list to receive next years order flyer as soon as it is available. The list is for notification only, you will not be committed to purchase a tree by signing up to the list.  Link to email list.   View Tree Form
